Derly Pérez is a Mexican-Puerto Rican writer & producer, based in New York City. For over a decade, she has helped bring ambitious, award-winning films to life, with work that has screened on major streaming services and festivals internationally.
She is currently co-producing an upcoming three-part docuseries for Netflix with Maxine Productions. Some of her work includes Glitter & Greed: The Lisa Frank Story for Amazon Studios; Deadlocked: How America Shaped the Supreme Court, a four-part documentary for Showtime; and Dr. Death: Cutthroat Conman, a Peacock/NBC feature examining the victims of surgeon Paolo Macchiarini.
Derly also story produced The First Step, a feature documentary on criminal justice reform that premiered at the 2021 Tribeca Film Festival.
She is a graduate of Columbia University and the University of Puerto Rico.
